1. Information stored on your device
Renewlytic stores the information you enter locally on your Android or iOS device. This can include:
- subscription names, prices, currencies, renewal dates, categories and billing schedules;
- optional notes, payment-method labels, management links and reminder preferences;
- renewal decisions and local charge-history records;
- app preferences, such as the selected currency and logo-fetch setting; and
- local purchase entitlement information needed to restore a Renewlytic Pro unlock.
Renewlytic does not provide user accounts or a developer-operated cloud-sync service, and the developer does not receive this local subscription data.
2. Device backup
Android or iOS may include Renewlytic's local app data in a device backup when backup is enabled in your Google, Android, Apple or iCloud settings. This backup is controlled by you and your device provider. Renewlytic does not operate, access or manage that backup. You can review or disable device backups in your device settings.
3. Receipt and image import
If you choose to take a photo, select an image, or share an image into Renewlytic, the Android and iOS apps use on-device text recognition to extract possible subscription details. The image and recognised text are not sent to the developer or to Google for recognition. Camera images are written to the app's temporary cache when needed for capture; selected images are read only for the import you initiate. On iOS, the Share Extension passes content you explicitly share to the app through the device's App Group.
The Android app uses Google's ML Kit text-recognition library, while the iOS app uses Apple's on-device Vision framework. Google states that ML Kit text-recognition input and results are processed on-device. The ML Kit SDK may send encrypted technical, diagnostic and usage telemetry, such as app/device configuration, installation identifiers, performance measurements and feature events, as described in Google's ML Kit documentation.
4. Optional online service logos
By default, Renewlytic can load a service logo from Google's favicon service. When this option is enabled, the domain of a tracked service (for example, netflix.com) is sent in an HTTPS request to Google so the logo can be displayed. This may reveal that the service is tracked in the app, but does not send its price, renewal date, notes or other subscription details. You can turn off online logo fetching in Settings; the app then uses local category icons instead.
5. Notifications
Renewlytic asks for notification permission only if you choose to use renewal reminders. Reminders are scheduled and displayed locally on your device. The app does not use a remote push-notification service for those reminders.
6. Renewlytic Pro, Google Play and the App Store
Renewlytic Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play on Android or the Apple App Store on iOS. Google and Apple handle payment information and the purchase flow under their respective terms and privacy policies. Renewlytic does not receive or store your card or other payment details. The apps communicate with the relevant store to show the available product, complete a purchase and restore an existing purchase entitlement.
7. Exports and links you choose
Renewlytic can prepare JSON backups, CSV exports and calendar files on your device. These files leave the app only when you choose a destination through Android's or iOS's share sheet. The privacy practices of the app, service or person you choose then apply. Similarly, opening a management link for a subscription is a user-initiated action handled by the destination website.
8. What Renewlytic does not do
Renewlytic does not require an account, collect contact lists or precise location, access bank accounts, sell personal information, serve advertising, or run a developer-operated analytics or tracking service. It does not upload your receipt images, recognised text, subscription amounts, dates, notes or exports to the developer.
9. Data deletion
You can permanently delete an individual subscription from its detail screen. You can remove all remaining local Renewlytic data by clearing Android app storage or deleting the iOS app. If a device backup is enabled, you may also need to manage any retained backup through your Android, Google, Apple or iCloud settings. Data you export or share must be removed from the destination you chose.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Renewlytic's data practices change. The current version will be published on this page with a revised date.
